Look Who's A Mud Puddle Girl...

Isn't she lovely?... Soon to be daughter in-law~ Jodi takes on the task of Home Renovating 101. Recently son Joey & Jodi (doesn't that sound cute) purchased their first home together.

You see~ their "new" home, built in 1941, needs quite a bit of TLC...& although our son is not a stranger to home renovations~ our family wasn't sure if Jodi would gladly trade her 1st weekends off in years, after just finishing college while working a weekend job~ for stripping 60 year old rooms of wallpaper, & restoring authentic 1940's moulding...But she is & she has made quite a splash in our family!

You go girl! Ms. Jodi is a real Mud Puddle Girl!

Thats a great house. After all the sweat, blood and tears that will go into it I'm sure they will feel very satisfied with the results. It's always nice to look around afterwards and know that its all finished because of ones own hardwork.

Yup, Jodi definitely looks like she's a mud puddle girl :)

Takes me back. My husband and I did the same thing. We loved remodeling the house and were kind of sad to sell it when we moved from the area in a job relocation 2 years later. I'll never forget hanging drywall in the living room when we made a vaulted ceiling...I've probably never had as good a neck since. lol

Thanks for stopping by Hospitality Lane. Animals are truly good for us. Hope that you get the opportunity to love lots more. There are so many out there that need good homes!

What a wonderful house - it's really big! And like Becky says, it is a trip down memory lane! I had a fixer upper for my first home too. =)

I can't wait to hear more about the upcoming wedding plans!

Aww.. I am glad it is bringing back memories to many of you... I hope their backs, & necks (Becky) hold out... & Anne-Marie it doesn't surprise me a bit you dug in to a fixer upper! You are short of amazing!

Ginger & Michelle~ It's always so nice to hear from you both. As with everyone who has posted a comment~ your blogs are "stand-outs!"

Hi Carrie-

I really like the cottage and can't wait to see what it'll look like when it's done! Are we going to get a "virtual tour"? ;)
